Cooperative National Registry of Acute Coronary care, Guideline Adherence, and Clinical Events (CONCORDANCE)

In conjunction with cardiologists at Concord Hospital, CONCORDANCE is creating a national registry for coronary care. At present, there is poor monitoring of how hospitals care for patients with heart conditions, such as how well they follow treatment guidelines or how long patients stay in intensive care.

Initially conducted in 15 Australian hospitals, the study includes a focus on Indigenous patients in Darwin, Alice Springs, Coffs Harbour and Dubbo. CONCORDANCE aims to create a national register that will foster uniform and high-quality care for patients in hospital for heart conditions.
