Dr Elizabeth Dunford receives the Young Investigator Award for her work on FoodSwitch

The George Institute for Global Health’s Dr Elizabeth Dunford, of the Food Policy team, has been awarded the Young Investigator Award at the 12th International Congress on Obesity in Malaysia, held from March 17 to 20.

Dr Dunford received the award for her work on FoodSwitch, a smartphone app aimed to help consumers make healthier choices regarding nutrient levels in their food that is being rolled out internationally. The app already has more than 450,000 users.

The George Institute for Global Health congratulates Elizabeth on her outstanding achievement and her work on improving the healthy choices of consumers.
