Associate Professor Niklas Nielsen

Niklas Nielsen is a senior staff specialist at Helsingborg hospital, and Professor of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at Lund University, Lund, Sweden. His main research interest is post-cardiac arrest care with a focus on temperature management, neuroprognostication and cognitive outcome and he led the international TTM- and TTM2-trials in out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. He is currently the chief investigator of the STEPCARE-trial investigating sedation, temperature/fever, and blood pressure targets during intensive care for the unconscious cardiac arrest patient.
