Climate change and human health: message to the UN Climate Change Conference 2016 (Invited)

This week, the UN Climate Change Conference 2016 starts in Marrakech, Morocco. The George Institute India’s Professor Vivekanand Jha sends this message to the conference-goers:

"Even as Delhi battles alarming levels of air pollution, it is time that policy-makers, activists and heads of states currently meeting in Marrakech for the COP22 conference consider the overall effects that climate change is having on human health.  We have go to beyond emission targets to look at this issue more holistically and come up with ways that can reduce the health impacts of climate change and global warming.”
