Cancer
Cancer is a leading global health challenge, with over 20 million new cases diagnosed annually - a number expected to rise significantly in the coming decades.
Yet, access to cancer care remains deeply inequitable. While some regions benefit from advanced treatments and early detection, others face barriers such as limited infrastructure, high costs, and long distances to access care, resulting in poorer outcomes.
The George Institute’s Cancer Program is dedicated to addressing these disparities by combining world-class research with global and local partnerships. We focus on delivering innovative, evidence-based solutions that make cancer prevention, treatment, and survivorship accessible to all. Through collaboration with governments, healthcare organisations, and international agencies, we aim to close the gaps in cancer care.
