Burden of injury admissions in a south Indian government hospital (Pilot phase study)

The aim of this project is to record the number and details of people admitted to Osmania General Hospital (OGH) for injuries due to all causes over a defined period of time.

Methods

All injury related admissions that required hospitalisation in OGH for at least 24 hours over a two month period starting from 1 September 2011 are to be recorded from the medical record department.

Status

Study completed, analysis is underway.
